About 6 years ago, Franca and Giuseppe were conquered by this 16th century farmhouse and its exceptional location. They left Milan and settled there with their children. They have kept part of the house for themselves and have set up a dining room and some bedrooms in the other wing of the house. These are spacious and their large windows offer beautiful views over an enchanting setting.
Indeed, "Barbaiano" is nestled in the Fosci Valley, in the heart of the Berignone forest, which is classified as a nature reserve. It is a paradise for nature and animal lovers. As you go deeper into the undergrowth, you will be able to surprise deer, wild boars, and other "mufloni" that inhabit these forests.
Podere Barbaiano is the ideal place for families with children, for the tranquility of the place and all the spaces available. At the bottom of the estate is a small animal park where young and old alike will have the pleasure of discovering wild boars, hens, hinds, horses, ponies, rabbits...
Each apartment has a private space to eat outside with the desired privacy, with each apartment on either side of the house. Either to the north, or to the west, south or east.
At 4km from here is the charming little village of Mazzola where the trattoria of Giuseppe has become a must. The ancient Etruscan city of Volterra is only a 15-minute drive away.
