Additional info

This beautiful Medieval hamlet is attached to the estate Borgo della Genga, which is still owned and managed by the family of the founder, Cardinal della Genga, who became Pope Leo XII.

Recently restored, great attention was paid to every detail so as to retain its architectural accuracy and preserve its ancient charm and serenity, while also providing all the modern comforts and amenities. To this end, all 7 apartments and 12 single rooms have been decorated with the family’s own comfortably elegant furnishings. The walls have been decorated exclusively with whitewash or painted with natural pigments, and the colors of the linens vary in each of the rooms, so that all have their own personality. Some have four-poster beds, others have linens that match the colors of the curtains and armchairs. The lighting, furniture and bathrooms have been chosen with care. In the bathrooms, for example, some original architectural pieces have been preserved during the restoration and have been elegantly combined with modern design elements, to achieve a result of extreme comfort and refinement.

From the hamlet, it is a lovely walk to the upper village and original family mansion, where you will find magnificent vistas of the surrounding countryside and the estate’s huge groves of olive trees.

The village is ideally situated a few miles from Spoleto, the beautiful, medievel city which annually hosts the internationally acclaimed "Festival of Two Worlds" (a celebration of music, art and theatre) during the two first weeks of July; and also is central for easy access to other cities of this region renowned for art, such as Assisi, Perugia, Todi, Spello, Bevagna, Montefalco, Trevi and Orvieto; as well as the park “Monte Sibillini”, with its endless carpet of poppy fields in June.
