Villa Federico is a combination of two former country houses, cleverly reconstructed to produce an elegant, comfortable house, oozing with charm and retaining much of the original architecture and features. Its hilltop situation provides a 360° degree view over arable land, vineyards, olive groves and hills dotted with typical Mediterranean vegetation.
The generous, landscaped gardens greet you as drive up to the villa. Guests are met on their arrival by a representative of the owner, who speaks perfect English, and whose task it is to look after you throughout your stay (a service included in the rental price). To one side of the house an old grain silo has been converted into a wellness centre, complete with hamman and jacuzzi. Treatments are also available on request (at an additional cost).
The beautiful, relaxing pool area has the added practical advantage of a shower and changing rooms. The two pergolas beside it are furnished with sofas, armchairs and coloured cushions, and are equipped with their own bar and fridge, for the ultimate in relaxation.
From the pool area, the main house with its covered terrace is only a few steps away. Each spacious room has been designed to provide the maximum in comfort, with colours tastefully chosen to blend with the materials used for the floors, walls and ceilings. The furniture has been also carefully chosen in soft, natural fabrics with touches of bright colour. On the ground floor, there are two drawing rooms, a dining room, a television room, a billiard room and an ultra-modern kitchen. Each of the ground floor rooms leads out onto the garden. All the bedrooms except one are situated on the first floor, decorated individually and each with their own bathroom. The first floor is reached by both an inside and an outside staircase, opening out to a large terrace area first before leading up to the bedroom landing. From the terrace, the beautiful view looks out towards Villa Elisabetta, the other residence on the estate. The property is ideally situated both within easy access of the coast and close enough to the more unusual and less well-known parts of the Maremma for you to explore. We can also arrange special daily excursions for you to make the most of your stay.
Villa Federico is the perfect house for groups of friends, business-related meetings or for family gatherings with children, where quality and comfort in an authentic environment is guaranteed. For keen horse-riders and sportsmen, there is also a riding centre and a tennis court at guests' disposal.
