Here we are only 15 minutes from the sea and the first fine sandy beaches you come to as you drive down the Tuscan coast. We are also only a stone's throw from the famous Bolgheri vineyards. In terms of culture, there are a number of small, picturesque medieval villages for you to visit further inland, while the ancient towns of Volterra, San Gimignano and even Siena are not far away.
Villa Viola is one of several holiday villas, all within a certain distance of each other, that lie scattered over the hills and valleys that make up an estate that stretches over several hundred hectacres. Villa Viola is a huge house that is situated 7 km from the central point on the estate, along 4 km of paved road and 3 km of dirt track. Perched on a hilltop, the views from the villa are magnificent. With a total of 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, the house can sleep up to 20 people.
On the ground floor, there are two drawing rooms, a large dining room and two fully-equipped kitchens (with 8 cooking rings, dishwasher, microwave oven, espresso coffee machine, toaster etc.). All these rooms open out onto a large terrace, shaded by both a small and a large pergola, and features a large table that can seat up to 20 people. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, while all the other bedrooms are on the first floor. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.
The house is equipped with all modern conveniences: WiFi, stereo, satellite TV with LCD, a DVD machine, airconditioning (at an extra cost) and so on. (See details given under Practical Information).
The house is surrounded by a large, partly-shaded garden, which also has a nice children's play area. The swimming pool is built slightly below house with a barbecue area set half-way between the two.
Even though the house is relatively isolated, the nearest grocery shops are only 9 km away. The owners have also set up a morning bread delivery that delivers directly to your door (on request). It may be useful to to a big shop for basic products before you arrive.
Villa Viola is a perfect holiday house for a large family or groups of friends.
